Housing Development Corporation (HDC) assisted in the financing of the Brightstone (Hillandale) project through a tax-exempt bond, 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transaction tax and Georgia Department of Community Affairs HOME transaction. HDC coordinated a public-private partnership with Prestwick Development Company to have project-based vouchers where the Housing Authority of DeKalb County is a Co-General Partner and Co-Developer for Brightstone, a 175 unit elderly property. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2019.
